The collection
Quantum physics
Shape a wavepacket, let it evolve, and choose when to observe. Explore interference, tunnelling and measurement through puzzles built around quantum dynamics.
Mechanics & circuits
Falling blocks meet friction and electricity. Place conductive pieces in a continuous physical world and connect the walls to burn a path through the pile.
Symmetry & creative play
Explore rotational and mirror symmetry on a hexagonal pegboard. Generate patterns, map an image, or draw by hand, then print a template to make it physical.
Electrophysiology
Tune ion channels to reproduce a target action potential. Explore neuronal firing and cardiac rhythms, then slow time down to watch ions cross the membrane.
An evolving collection of games and creative tools. These projects are experiments; expect them to grow and change.
About the research
GiorginoLab develops computational models of biomolecular motion and interactions, drawing on molecular dynamics, statistical learning and software engineering. The lab is led by Toni Giorgino at CNR-IBF, hosted by the Department of Biosciences at the University of Milan.
This new direction asks how games can make the behaviour of models something we can explore directly. A simulation becomes a place to try an idea, observe a result and develop intuition.
The collection begins with quantum puzzles, physical systems, electrophysiology and geometric patterns. We are exploring how interaction with these models can support scientific intuition.
